How we devised the identity to "Tame Danger"!

In the logo, we've used latin words "domito periculo" - this roughly translates to "tame danger" or "mastering risk", it would seem an apt mission statement for the institution. Bold, ambitious and brave - evoking the wild, chaotic and random nature of risk. Taming danger has, in fact, been the goal of humanity throughout its history - this is merely another step.

St Michael - the saint riding to protect

The logo itself is adorned with a version of St Michael, riding a winged horse and rearing against the danger ahead. Human and an Animal tamed to allyship. A very visual metaphor. St Michael is also the archangel that led the battle against satan in heaven. Already having been adopted as the patron saint of banking - it seems an apt nod to the sibling institution (the Bank of England) from which the Insurer of State will draw so much inspiration.
